Leg Stretch

What’s that saying? “Use it or lose it!” I agree, maintaining flexibility is an ongoing project.
Create the habit to STAY in each stretch or asana pose at least 2-3 minutes…. YESSSSsss… that is a looonger time than you may usually spend! It works.
Here’s why:
THIXOTROPY is the ability of a substance to shift from semi-solid to semi-gel. THAT is what happens to your FASCIA when you maintain a steady resistance or pressure on the tissue for at least 90 seconds. You will feel the taffy-like thixotropic effect of your muscles “letting go”.
Grab your friend by one hand, and both of you pull away from each other – slowly – gently. If you stay there long enough, you will both feel that taffy-stretch of your shoulder/forearm/wrist -> LENGTHENING, spontaneously and effortlessly.
USE YOUR BODY WISELY, stay longer, go slower, be steady, consistent, and you WILL improve, or at least, maintain your range of motion.
