I became Certified in Pregnancy, Labor & Infant Massage in 1992 (took the class 3 times, and taught it 6 times), and this was AFTER a few experiences as an integral part of a Birth team.Over the years, I was Labor support for my younger sister with her 2 babies, 4 of my girlfriends, and 3 clients. My most exhilarating experience was helping my Portuguese teacher with her 3rd baby in a water birth, her labor only lasted 4 hours, and I got there for the last 90 minutes – WOW! In all, I’ve been an integral part of 10 Birth teams. AND I’ve massaged a few hundred pregnant ladies!
I have Advanced Training in abdominal massage, so post-partum you can expect a thorough therapeutic session to harmonize all body parts, as they heal and rebalance after 10 months of hormones, physical challenges, and emotional stress. If you had a C-section, I teach you how to work with it to progressively soften the scar tissue.
btw – I can help improve ANY SCAR no matter how old, especially if it has never been massaged. Let my Melting Touch Massage© give your body a chance to return to more harmony.
I’ve been working with Mommys & Babies for many years, and used to offer free classes 4 times a year when the Natural Childbirth Institute was in Culver City. It was so gratifying to see the delight as new moms became more aware and confident in their ability to help their child feel better faster.
